Meet our New Neighbours and Treatment Partners; Cingulum Health.

We are excited to welcome a progressive, new health space to The Cannery in Rosebery. Our new neighbours and treatment partners, Cingulum Health, are a consultancy and treatment service for neurological and psychiatric disorders established by Alexandra Teo, her father, Dr Charlie Teo, and fellow neurosurgeon, Dr Mike Sughrue.

The team at Cingulum take a multi-disciplinary approach to medicine by consulting with specialists, researchers, as well as our therapists at Selph, to build the most effective treatment plans for their patients. Cingulum Health is a breath of fresh air when it comes to the current landscape of options available to treat and manage symptoms of complex neurological conditions.

Nestled in the bustling and vibrant Cannery precinct in Rosebery, Cingulum have reinvigorated what a health clinic should look and feel like through the use of sustainable materials and a biophilic design concept. The use of soft pastel hues, soft furnishings and a couple of resident dogs make the space ever more conducive to healing.

Cingulum Health is challenging the current standard in neurological and mental illness by pairing cutting-edge technology with holistic approaches to the mind and body. One such technology offered at the clinic is transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS), which assists in changing the way the brain is wired and can improve its function.

What is TMS?

Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) is a non-invasive form of brain stimulation using electromagnetic induction. With the assistance of machine learning technology and advanced equipment, the areas of the brain mostly likely related to adverse symptoms can be located, stimulated and rehabilitated.

The brain stimulation induces a state of heightened brain plasticity, which can result in greater learning.  Once in this state, the patient is then guided through a tailored program of relaxation, movement and physical therapies, including treatments at Selph such as acupuncture, massage and meditation that help to maximise the outcomes.
