On Saturday 17th July, you’re invited to a Winter Yin Masterclass with Yogi Amy G. followed by a special Sound Healing session with musician Nadia Struiwigh.
Why it matters:
According to Traditional Chinese Medicine, the colder months are associated with reflecting on what’s holding you back and addressing where you feel stuck or stagnant. Winter gives you permission to hibernate and replenish your energy ready to facilitate action in the warmer months.
It is the perfect time to draw attention inwards and create movement in your physical body to support an emotional release. We create movement by lubricating the joints, especially along your front and back, and consequently, create warmth through the fluid body to flush out what was once stuck.
Amy is very passionate about sharing how the energetics of the physical body can create greater support for wellbeing, ease of mind, and steadiness in the everyday. Come along if you’re feeling curious to deepen your Yin practice and ready to reflect for greater growth.
The Impact of Sound Healing:
Once we move, stretch, squeeze and release the body, we are more receptive to welcome the frequency of healing. Nadia will guide you into deep relaxation with handmade Tibetan Bowls from Nepal. Nadia’s sound healing is designed to balance frequencies in the body so you feel extremely rested and rejuvenated.
Nadia is originally from the Netherlands and has traveled near and far sharing her music and sound healing with the world. She is now based in Sydney and we are thrilled to welcome her to Selph. Lay back, relax and allow the impact of the yin poses to integrate and settle through your whole being.
This masterclass will focus on:
- Yin postures to replenish energy levels; especially through the spine, chest, hips, and hamstrings
- Poses targeting Kidney & Urinary Bladder meridian lines for a healthy immune response
- Pranayama, meditation, and sound for deep healing
Making time for you is important. This intimate class will focus on the practical application of yin yoga and the power of sound to rebuild energy levels and release imbalance in your body and mind.
