You’re invited to join postnatal pilates teacher, Fanny Kuhn, for Mums & Bubs classes every Wednesday morning.
Mums and Bubs Pilates gives you the opportunity to connect with your body post-pregnancy and birth. It also allows you to connect with your baby in a mindful way, and meet other mums in the area. This series will run for 8 weeks at a time, but drop-ins are welcome.
Firstly, Pilates is an efficient postnatal exercise to strengthen muscles weakened during pregnancy and birth. This full-body mat workout uses your own body weight as resistance. In addition, some props are also used, including resistance bands and hand weights, to tone, stretch and strengthen your entire body to assist in postnatal recovery.
Most importantly though, you can interact with bub through the movement or allow them to lie next to you and interact with other babies.
Fanny is a pre and postnatal Pilates teacher with a focus on Pilates for rehabilitation. She has upbeat sequences that will leave you feeling good from the inside out every time you are on your mat. Read more about Fanny here.
